Queer Kitty is a centre for animals and queer youth at risk. The design concept is 'Reflections' which draws qualities from water in it's various stages. The smooth, seamless properties of water are contrasted with the rigidity of ice formations. The space aims to help queer youth who are at risk to themselves and/or others, and animals feel safe, calm and comfortable in a neutral, free flowing environment. Users will be transported to a place of greenery, lounges, and cafes that intent to bring everyone together in a positive environment. The focus will be on the veterinary care of the cats but is designed to cater to the needs of all the human companions as well.
